Miyaichi is a product of the Japanese High School soccer system.
Miyaichi visited Europe and had trials with Arsenal and Ajax.
He impressed on both occasions but suffered an injury while on trial with Ajax.

The fast winger, who has two strong feet and is comfortable operating on either flank or as a central attacking midfielder, will thus be joining the Emirates outfit on a five-year contract come January 2011.
